My son has received his new xbox 360 elite today along with COD6..... we are having issue playing it - we have a philips hdtv so im sure thats not the problem (but could be?) COD6 has to be played in PAL60 but when we switch to that setting we lose the bottom of the screen on the tv, all goes fuzzy, we have tried changing the tv size settings and this has not helped!!
My son is desperate to start playing his mates pleasssse help

If the tv has hdmi then make sure both console and tv are set to that..what resolution does the tv do ? if it does 1080p set both ps3 and tv to that as well. Make sure both are set to 16:9 ratio or widescreen. Basically match these three things up and it should cure problem.If you have a old hdtv tv it might not do 1080p if you set ps3 to that you will have bother with cropped image and blurryness. check this

I guess you mean xbox. Also surely the HDMI settings are only if connecting via HDMI.

OP, how have you connected to the telly?

Also might be worth moving this to the xbox 360 section. Contact one if the mods and they should be able to do it.

What type of cable are you using to connect the Xbox 360 to the TV?

I know some 360 games force you to switch the display to PAL60 but that should not be an issue with a HDTV. What is your TV's model number, exactly?

I can't be sure until you tell me, but it doesn't sound like you're using a HDMI cable. You should get one because not only should it fix your problem it will vastly improve the 360's display on the TV.
