Data Migration Cable

Got one of these from Microsoft yesterday. I got the new MW2 250gb Xbox & gave my old 120gb to son. Can someone answer these please?

1) I wanted to copy the content onto the 250gb, but the book with the cable says it will delete all the data from the xbox it is copying from - is this true? I want to keep my son's profile & game saves on the 120gb.

2) Does it also delete what i currently have on my 250gb - MW2 game save etc.

3) If i'm buggered then i'm guessing i will need a memory unit to do all this?

Thanks

Re: Data Migration Cable

If you have used the 250gb HDD already then you are going to need to borrow a memory card from somewhere. This will give you two options:

1. Transfer everything from the 120 to the 250 with just the card.

2. Transfer all form the 250 to the 120 with the card, then use the kit to transfer the lot over.

If you use the cable, the 120 will become blank, but your sons profile will be on the 250. You then have the option to either move it back over to the 120 with the mem card or recover it from live.

Either way, if you want to keep your MW2 saves, you will need a memory card.

EDIT: Actually, thinking about it it may not wipe your MW2 saves, but to be 100% certain i would borrow a mem card.
