Hey guys picked up a forza elite 3 weeks ago around launch and its been running great and quiet. Only sound coming out of it is when a disc is in it, but earlier tonight i was playing halo 3 and when i took the disc out it sounded as loud as mad. So i turned it off gave it about 30 secs and turned it back on and its still making the same noise as when a disc is in it. Kinda worrying me now.

My xbox is well ventillated has air flowing all around it so no issues there.

Just wondering what it could be....sounds like its coming from the fan section at the back when i tilt my head around the back, but when i look at it from the front sounds like its coming from the front

Any help would be much apprichiated thanks

Not really gonna be able to help you out much, but I have a 2 month old jasper and that occassionally makes a sound similar to yours but not all the time.
It may have been cos it was hot? Or does it do it all the time now? If that’s the case def look at taking it back.

Could be the fan is going to die. Either replace the fan or wait till it goes and hope it 3 Red Rings so you can get a replacement.

Thought i would leave it on for about 15 mins before i went to bed last night and it started up with the noise, but about 5 mins in it started to disappear.

The sound is gone now so im either thinking it was some dust stuck in the fan or dirt etc or perhaps something got inside around the fan section and it was blown out by the fans?????

Anyways sounding better now weird noise tho will defo be keeping an ear out for it
