Freezing During Game play

Hi

I have read the other thread about freezing and read lots online, including the MS site about this, for about 2 weeks now my 360 have been freezing while I have been playing games.

I got the new COD yesterday and its still doing it, so last night me and my mate did the X clamp and it didnt make any differrence, I have tried all the other ideas, even aimed a fan at the 360.

Can any one please help me with this?

just some sort of light on what it is, I dont get any error codes and cant press anything when it happens apart from switch it off and start again and the warranty is well up

So I was just playing on the 360 again, and I found that with the ethernet cable unplauged it was allot better and I could play allot longer, it only freezed once and that is a big difference.

so could that mean anything?

just watched a full dvd without one problem, can any one help with this?

my old 360 did this just prior to RROD, but seeing as you've x-clamped it, i'm a little stumped

its stange that dvd's are ok and that guitar hero, i am just cheased i cant sort it out

just managed to play on it for a long time before it froze, i got all the cables out and it then works better, has any one known of this? Or has an idea what that could be?

You did the Xclamp before it RRoD?

Was it in warranty?

Did you even try clearing your cache before being gung ho?

Yep, the xbox was un-userble on games, so after trying everything that the ms site said including xtras i did an x clamp job, but still the same, until now that i have messed with the cable, but it still does do it just not as bad.

Warranty was up and i did the cache, just be nice to fully sort it?

well it really cant be a heat problem as I was just checking times then to see how long it takes till it freezes

Have you baked it when you did the xclamp fix? Also have you played with tensioning or slackening the bolts then that might help (or completely kill it). I personally would advise you do the heatgun fix to it combined with the xclamps if you want to give it a go yourself. Alternatively put it on ebay as faulty but not banned and someone will pick it up for around £20-30 for just the console.
