I returned an xbox 360 last year to HMV (End of Nov 2008) and recieved a replacement. My fan has started to make a really loud grinding sound and I mean REALLY loud and I fear the console may be on its way out. As its still within the 1 year consumer warranty would this be ok to return to HMV purely on the fan basis? I just know it will die just after my warranty runs out!

Will only know if you try! If not and you dont want to send off to MS and pay for a fix, just install a new one. Its the easiest soft mod, I mean customisation you can do imo.

yeah I was planning on! lol Just phoned them and they said they have "dedicated" number I have to phone first who have to give you a return reference number. They obviously try and talk you through it first.. I'll just play dumb
