Dead HD-DVD Drive

My 360 HD-DVD Drive just died. As it is out of warranty I opened it and put a meter on the power input and output to the drive proper. Meter shows 12 @ 2amp input ok and output to the drive board appears to be ok also but the drive is dead. Anyone had a similar experience, and if so is it possible to source a new drive board or does anyone know of any common component failures that could be replaced by a reasonably competent diyer.

Hi
Yes item from your link when bought fixed tghe problem and I bought another drive just for back-up.
Turned out to be the power supply board had a faulty IC and the board supplied fixed it.
