Xbox 360 Spring Showcase (today and tomorrow)

This is a closed, invite only 2 day event in San Francisco where MS are showing off some of the games that are due to be released on 360 in 2012. Halo 4 is supposed to be there, but I don't know anything else about it and it seems that invitees are NDA'd up to the eyeballs, but some info should be released (or will leak out) soon I would imagine.

The embargoes end on March 5th.

Also, some German games magazine had this teaser on the last page of their March issue: -

I'm sure it does if you rack your brains hard enough, but only Halo and Gears of War (as big ones, anyway) immediately spring to mind.

Halo 4 won't be any great shock but I don't think anything Gears-related is in the pipeline. It has been kept very quiet, if there is!

PGR wont be back now Bizarre Creations are dead.

They could sell the license, but the franchise isnt anywhere near the popularity it used to be.

Thought MS owned the PGR licence though? Heard rumours back in the day that Turn 10 were going to develop the next installment.

I should have probably done a quick google before spouting out opinions.

Yep, they own that franchise. They own about 90 franchises, something like that, including all the older Rare stuff going back to their Ultimate Play The Game days.

I still think that was a better game than PGR.

When i first played MSR i was literally blown away.

A funny little fact is that i moved down to London for a little bit when i was 18 and i found i actually knew my way around covent garden, piccadilly circus, etc purely through playing MSR so much.

Believe it is the name, Bizzare went on to produce Blur for Activision before being shut down.

Take Two are the distributor and they've put out release dates for some big titles, but not GTA V. Maybe they don't want Bioshock Infinite and GTA V coming out around the same time. Your guess is as good as mine though really!

They say that they are projecting a very big year 2012/13 sales wise according to their shareholder statements and I don't think Max Payne and Borderlands 2 would quite deliver on their own, so fingers crossed.

GTA IV was released in April 2008, partly due to delays caused by PS3 version.

Would GTA V be released at the same time as COD 9 ?

Some details on the showcase here:-
