Too much choice...

With all the A+ releases out and coming out at the moment does anyone else start to think they have too much choice?

I got made redundant which i was over the moon about and even with all this spare time i'm finding it hard to get regular plays of the games recently bought.

At the moment there is:

Modern Warfare 2
Forza 3
Fifa 10

Add to that i'll be taking delivery of Assassins Creed 2 and Left for Dead 2.

There will be people on here who work full time, have a far greater collection of new games to get through but like me can't help buying the latest blockbuster game...

Sometimes i think i don't always get my moneys worth as forever swapping discs in the xbox!

Re: Too much choice...

Remember this post when there is the obligatory lull in releases next year. It always happens....loads to choose from then not enough (generally followed by a few moans!).

Re: Too much choice...

It's not quite as bad as Q4 2007 which was nothing less than a festival of top-notch releases.

Re: Too much choice...

More big releases are due February and March.

To be honest,i hope after that there is a lull after March until this time next year.

Some great releases this year and potentially early next year.

My wallet and spare time can't take any more.

That's what I will normally do if I have to decide between a bunch of games, the ones with good online will get bought first. Single player games can be bought later on when they're around the £20 mark.

One good thing about all these games coming out around the same time is that they will most likely drop in price by the time you have got through the current batch of MW2, L4D2 and few others.

I just noticed today in the bargains thread they had Tekken 6 for £17.99 and that only came out last month.

It's back up to £39.99 though before you all rush to the Bargains section

After March I am planning on getting round to all the games I haven't finished or played enough of like FIFA 10, PES 2010, Forza 3, Resident Evil 5, Lost Odyssey, Alone in the Dark, Tekken 6, Street Fighter IV, Soulcalibur IV, Overlord 2 and Brutal Legend.

I think I'll be playing games constantly for the next year.

I have a problem with my gaming time at the moment and when I think back, for 2 years now.

I have a list of games I really need to finish or in some cases even open, yet again today I have received Assassins Creed 2, with no real chance to play it, other than blowing off the other games I've bought.

So far I have a backlog of games I need to start/finish from a while ago:

Bioshock - Need to restart since haven't played for 1.5 years +
Mass Effect - Need to finish storyline, I'm half way through.
Ghost Recon AW 2 - Need to finish, only just at end of Chapter 1!!!
Orange Box - Half Life 2 is done, Portal is done, I need to do Episode One & Two.
Rainbow Six Vegas 1 - Only a few missions from the end of completing this. Haven't been back to this for like 2 years.

Then I have games I've hardly touched or are still sealed but not even really started like:

The Force Unleashed - Not even done a single level.
Saints Row 2 - Still Sealed!
Lego Batman - Still Sealed!
Pure - Still Sealed!

Then I've got all these new releases:

Batman Arkham Asylum - Finished on normal, want to redo on hard and pick up remaining achievements.
Operation Flashpoint 2 - Only on Level 6, thankfully its different enough from Modern Warfare 2 that I still want to finish it.
Forza 3 - I've done a bit, but still only just level 15 in Career. This is a game that will last a long time.
Grand Theft Auto Episodes from Liberty City - Still Sealed!
Modern Warfare 2 - Done on normal, need to redo on Veteran and lots of hours left in the multiplayer before I get bored.
and now Assassins Creed II - Still Sealed! and likely to stay that way for a while.

Now that I list it all out like that, I can see how I need to get on with things!!

I've just got come back from a two month sabbatical wandering around Asia and have a huge backlog of games I want to play but just don't have the time (or now funds).

I bought MW2 but still want: Borderlands, Dirt 2, L4D2, Halo ODST, Forza 3, Batman Arkham Asylum, Assassins Creed 2 and I also wanted to pick up both GTA IV DLCs. I still want to get Uncharted 2 for my PS3 and only ever played about a couple of hours of Killzone 2 which I want to finish. Maybe I should have just spent my sabbatical gaming?
