Sealed games, please help me decide what to play next

Hi all,

Like probably many on here I have a few games still sealed. Tonight I actually have the luxury of being able to have a 2-3 hour gaming session!

So these are my sealed titles, one which I will open tonight - not particularly bothered about the genre, just want to enjoy a great game, with excellent graphics and gameplay. Which of these should I open and enjoy tonight?

Oblivion - Elder Scrolls IV
Mass Effect
Bioshock
The Orange Box

Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Sealed games, please help me decide what to play next

orange box or bioshock, sorry i cant narrow it down further.
the other 2 are brilliant games (although oblivion left me dry) but are too big a time investment (mass effect took me 40 hours to do everything and oblivion is apparently up to 100).
orange box and bioshock are both play through and leave games, you could do both in less time than it takes to do either of the other 2

Re: Sealed games, please help me decide what to play next

They're all fantastic games.

Oblivion is like opening a can of worms, in 2-3 hours you won't accomplish too much, that game needs dedication.

Orange Box has so much to offer.

Bioshock is a truly amazing work of art of a game, weighs in at about 14 hours from start to finish, so deffinatly worth starting with only 2 - 3 hours of play.

Mass Effect, while not as massive as Oblivion, again is a big game, but in the first hour of me playing it, I was hooked.

So really, you pick any of them and you'll have a good time. Bioshock is deffinatly worth the first look I'd say though.

Bioshock, if you don't have loads of gaming time.
If you have got a bit more time to invest then, Mass Effect.

All great games though, have fun

14 Hours? On Easy maybe, not taking in any story or side quests and ultimatly coming out the other end not understanding anything.

Hi all,

Thanks for your help - now this will make you laugh - I actually got to the stage of opening Bioshock but it never made it into the 360! Domestic duties got in the way and my lad was playing up going to bed - nevermind I will try again tonight!

I absultely loved all of them. As long as you like RPG's (!) You have a hell of a time ahead!!

Re: Sealed games, please help me decide what to play next

Bioshock is one of the best games i have played.I have just started playing it again to mop up achievements and it's still a fantastic experience.

The sequel is out in February so get it played and finished so you can get on with the sequel.

The Orange Box is great too...all of it.

Re: Sealed games, please help me decide what to play next

I would say start on Bioshock and then move onto Mass Effect and if you still have time play the Orange Box (start with Portal).

If you are really short on time and only have a few hours play Portal on the Orange Box and then when you can fit in some time play Bioshock.

Re: Sealed games, please help me decide what to play next

Hi all,

I managed an hour last night on Bioshock

Initially impressions are that it is a stunning game. I am taking my time to look everywhere in each room/setting and have to admit to playing it on easy

I won't get chance to play it again until another week or so but I am going to stick with this one!

The graphics are stunning, it is set in a very creepy environment and not one to play when the kids are around. So I will be restricted to a couple of hours 2 or 3 times per week - but looking forward to it!

Thanks again for all your advice.
