Very dissapointed. Real shame as I was really looking forward to this game

Have you even played the game? Its just you have no record against your gamertag of ever having played the demo, let alone the full game. And your opinion strikes me as one formed from very little experience of the full game. Either that or you have only played single player, in which case you have missed out on 95% of the Bad Company goodness, and aren't really in a position to pass judgement. I may be wrong....
Anyway, as someone that has played this online (for a fair few hours now

) I can say that IMO it is at the top of the pile in regards to online multiplayer 360 titles. I've been a fan of the Battlefield series since they were first released (I've played 1942 - Vietnam - BF2 - 2142 and Modern Combat) and this newest iteration is yet another worthy addition to the series. In fact I'd say that it has been my favourite of the lot.
The Gold Rush gametype means both teams are given more focus and direction compared to the conquest mode of previous games. This makes for more naturally occuring teamwork, as you are all working to the same objective. The Frostbite engine, and its destructible environments, means the maps are far more dynamic, and makes for more varied and interesting games, because as the buildings, forest, fences etc get destroyed the flow of the map shifts. This stops the maps from getting stale, along with the multi staged nature of the maps means despite only being 8 available initially, they have a lot of replayability.
The kits are set up in a similar way to 2142, with each role being useful in its own right, but not overshadowing the other kits and weapons by being a jack of all trades. This means there are usually a large mix of weapons and abilities on the battlefield, which again means a nice variation of tactics, and diverse gameplay.
So, all in all, single player mode - easily forgettable, and don't even think about buying the game solely for it.
Multiplayer - Where its at, easily one of, if not THE best online multiplayer game available on the 360 at the moment. A really polished experience, which remains fresh and fun, even after many hours of play.
I voted 9/10.
