Well I played through this on rental which I must mention before I give my thoughts.
When I started the game I knew what to expect by and large and it was pretty much the same humour and graphical style as Lego Star Wars. Now I loved LSW so I was happy to see they had stuck to the same formula, this does of course mean graphically its bright colourful and generally pleasant on the eye but not mind blowing obviously. As the look was right it became apparent the sound was spot on too and its obvious the franchise has been in lovings hands.
The next surprise came in the form of the different character classes, it was ingenius for them to come up with Indy, Mechanic, Digger, Thugee, Translator, Explosive, Shorty and female. I did doubt with losing the force characters whether they would be able to add enough variety to make the puzzles interesting but they have done a very good job that results in some fun challenges. The gameplay is pretty much the same as LSw so expect lots of fun and the inevitable arguments with your Coop partners not doing as they're told

.
Now with all those positive thoughts here comes some negatives. While the game sticks to the franchise very well there just isn't the same variety you got in LSW with all its different characters and settings. This is somewhat of a harsh criticism and they have done their best to not make it repetitive but it needs to be said. The next flaw and this is the worrying part is the bugs you may encounter. The big gripe I had was with graphical tearing which although I've come to expect on the odd occasion using VGA it seemed worse than most games I've played. The other annoyance is the computer AI for your partner can just go nuts occasionally and frequently it was non responsive or would constantly get in the way when fighting. The numebr of times I beat up and killed my partner while trying to get through the baddies was annoying.
Now for me the game wasn't very long but as I stated at the beginning I rented this so didn't want to spend hours searching for everything so I used a guide. In the past on LSW I didn't use a guide so its hard to gauge just how long the game would have been in comparison had I not. I'd suggest Indy is somewhat shorter but if you go for the 100% not using the guide then longevity is pretty good I guess.
Onto my final rating, if I was rating by numbers I'd have been struggling between a 7 and 8 so with that in mind I was undecided between saying good or very good. I decided for me it was a good game which given I'm 29 and probably not the main target either for the game is a pretty good score in my book. If you have kids they will love this, if you love the indyy films it will give you a lot of pleasure too. If you don't fall into those 2 categories then you'll probably still enjoy the game but it maybe a average experience.
