Turok Xbox 360 reviews

What do you think of Turok? Another pointless addition to the FPS genre, or a quality alternative to the big hitters; Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4?

Please leave a vote based on the description best fitting your opinion, only after you've played the game enough to comment -- votes cannot be changed at a later date.

Re: Turok: Reviews

I won't vote as I only played through the demo, but my view of that was very low.

Honestly, the worst FPS I have seen on the console. By far.

Haven't got far enough to score it yet, but so far either a 6 or a 7. Looks and sounds great, but some frustrating gaps between checkpoints and the whole being knocked off your feet repeatedly by dinosaurs gets really annoying.

Re: Turok: Reviews

played the demo would give it a 5 / 6 def below avg. Have seen reviews of the game and I believe it got similar scores. Apparently you can kill the dino's with your knife tho, I may load the demo again to try it.. then delete it

Re: Turok [Xbox 360] - Reviews

Borrowed the full game and have played through a few levels, I won't be buying it and given that I have so many other unplayed games I doubt I will even finish it. The main problem I found was the auto checkpoints were to far apart, it's not that difficult but if you get caught out by a stray guard or dino and end up having to reload it becomes a real chore. The game is OK some nice knife moves and the combat is solid but its not blow you away great that you feel like tackling the same section over and over to crack it. If I run out of games to play and can pick it up for a tenner then I may well get round to finishing it.
