Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga Xbox 360 Reviews

What do you think of Lego Star Wars: TCS? A worthy sequel, or a cheap cash in that fails to add anything of note to the two games it brings together in this title.

Please leave a vote based on the description best fitting your opinion, only after you've played the game enough to comment -- votes cannot be changed at a later date.

I voted good. I really enjoyed this game, I also played Lego Star Wars II. The main things that lets it down is the screen movement (tearing?).

Seems like a rush job.

Re: Lego Star Wars TCS: Reviews

I really enjoyed this sequel after getting into it. Having completed the original trilogy I knew it was going to be a bit of a slog fest but once you dive in at the deep end it is, as was the original, strangely addictive.

I thought that whilst the graphics have been tidied up I did find that, as others have, there was a lot of tearing which annoyed me at first but soon got used to it.

My main criticism though is that there is too much repetition in this edition. You have to play through each of the levels in story mode to unlock free play. Once unlocked you then go through each one in free play to collect the canisters and red bricks. You then play through again to get the blue canisters, then finally you have to do the super story. To my mind it would have made sense to ditch the super story as you only needed to collect 100,000 studs to pass the level so this could have been incorporated into the other missions, maybe the blue canisters instead.

I thought that most of the new bonus missions worked quite well and enjoyed the new lego city / town as a good break from the normal episodes.

Again in comparison to the original, I found the achievements generally a lot easier. All of the “kill character A with B” achievements were just a case of buying the appropriate people, going to a level, killing them, coming back out. There was no real effort to get these. However, the original trilogy’s complete the level undefeated were very difficult but not ridiculous. I suppose though that this comes down to how hard you like your achievements to be.

In all it took me 41 hours odd to complete this from start to finish so is that good value? I bought my copy for £20 when gamestation were doing their offer so worked out very good value for me. Plus the kids will now spend hours mucking about driving the fire engine round lego city and the like. Overall therefore I gave it a good.

Very good for me....It was a slight rip off in as much as half the game was exactly the same as the previous one, but for £20.00 I wasn't going to complain...I think 45 hours for £20 can't be bad !!!!

I'm gonna go as far as outstanding. It's just pure gameplay and the gentle humour never fails to reduce me to fits of giggles. Great amount of longevity too... and of course Lego Indie is an unlockable character

Re: Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga Xbox 360 Reviews

I voted outstanding. I've played both Star Wars games but am finding I'd forgotten most of the levels. Probably because I played them non stop and rushed through them.
I'm doing exactly the same thing again but it's great fun. Incredibly addictive and hilarious sense of humour. I find myself watching the movies over and over and they still make me laugh out loud.

A fair amount of new stuff as well, though don't think I'll have the patience to do all the super story's.

Picked this up for £14.99 so even better!

In fairness the game is built around people replaying the levels to collect all the unlockables, thats where the longevity lies. If you didn't like this games style then you'd better give lego Indy and Batman a miss as they're the same principal.

I really do like this game. Its like you just run about and blow stuff up and collect loads of stuff. Very simple but worth the £17 I paid for it. I am about half way and I still have a every now and again.
