Anybody else pick this up from Amazon for the bargain price of £24?
I brought this as his new game to replace Lego Star Wars II as we've nearly finished that now (87% between us

) and it is extremely similar, if not as polished. It has similar "force" powers and a similar ability to switch between characters during a level. It also has the same collect them all mentality, it even has a shop for upgrades that you'll need to get that 100%.
Where it does differ is with the viewpoint, its 3rd person perspective more or less identical to GoW and the control has a lot in common with GoW. The two big exceptions are that the strafe is on both of the triggers and you have a hammer of dawn style laser site turned on when bad guys are around to help aiming at the bad guys. It also has a map/radar screen complete with directional arrow to help navigation through the level.
I was amazed at how quickly my five year old picked up the mechanics of the game - he's completed two of the levels of the game this morning (about an hours worth of game time). He has also managed to unlock 4 achievements in that time, they seem pretty easy to get, which is nice for a kids game.
Things I don't like about the game is that it is one player, I like games with co-op modes so I can help my two out and they can play with each other as well. Over use of motion blur as well makes me nauseous. It also doesn't have anywhere near the love and attention that Lego Star Wars II has had, its just not as appealing to adults and not just because of the lack of Star Wars license. Worth getting for your kids if they are into Lego or they fancy something like Daddy's GoW, but not worth it if you want to play through it yourself, and my score reflects it from a kids point of view.
