Couldn't seem to find a thread on this one but with the possible leak of some very nice looking gameplay footage I thought I'd start this.

I never played the first one but I know it was critically well received (if not commmercially) and the brief bit of gameplay footage here looks pretty sweet. Something like Assassin's Creed meets Jason Bourne in the future! The way she uses her surroundings as she runs looks awesome.

I haven't played the first either, but it looks like a hybrid between Assassin's Creed and Mirror's Edge. Looks mint.

The orginal was similar to the Jak series in many ways, although less action packed. There were stealth sections, you travelled in a hovercraft and used some stick to fight with, you also had to take alot of pictures. This one looks similar but with more mirrors edge/assassins creed style gameplay.

I'm going to nitpick the second clip. At the end when she jumps onto the plane and the rotors twist, it looks to me like they twist the wrong way. They're initially pointing upwards, giving downdraft (so it hovers). Then they twist backwards, which should push the plane backwards, not forwards.

Its down for 30th october release date on gamestracker and late 2009 on ign
no more screens or leaked footage either there is also a interview with a ubi chief saying it may not make it

Looks awesome have watched that video so many times this looks like my kind of game and cant believe that its not getting the attention it looks like it deserves

That was the issue with the first game though, brilliant game just seemed to disappear into obscurity

The Escapist : News : Ubisoft Putting Beyond Good & Evil 2 On Hold?

Apparently this is on hold now. I think the footage was looking very promising - boo!!
