Looking good. You can't beat a bit of Virtua Tennis, in my opinion.

Anyone else looking forward to this?

Yep, really looking forward to this one. I've bought every release since the Dreamcast original and continue to regard it as the best video game sports series ever made.

I bought 3 for 7 quid the other day and I've been looking at vids and screens of 2009 and to be honest, does anyone think this is worth anywhere near 40 quid? It just seems like 3 but nicer graphics and slightly different training tasks.

I had no idea that this was coming out! I just went on shopto.net and I saw an advertisement for it :D

It's £33 on there, not sure if that's the best offer out there though!

I might get it on the Wii as well for my sister :D

I have had every single version of this since the dreamcast so will certainly be picking this up and for £33 from shopto you can't go wrong. Be good to get a few games from people here going.

This game is no different to number 3. Save your money guys am bored of it after 10 mins.

Picked this up this morning thanks to a nice local retailer selling it early

Just for the record Virtua Tennis 2 is my favorite sports game ever and top 3 overall. I urge people not to spend £40 on this especially if you liked top spin 3. Sure they are not comparable since Topspin is more of a sim but really from play that to VT would be a major dissappointment.

Really dissappointed how this plays -too quick, very (very) poor repeated animations and all round feels like something is wrong. By all means pick it up when the price drops a bit but strike it off your "mus buy" list.

Really saddens me what the series has become compared to the Dreamcast & arcade days.

I had Top SPin 3 and thought it was ok, but a bit jumpy on the tennis court scenes..

I can get this for £31 with student discount at Gamestation. Is there gonna be a demo to play?

Virtua Tennis 2009 is a big waste of money. This is the same as Virtua Tennis 3 with a new Roster, and worse graphics

I can't believe that is runs in 720p rather than the native 1080p of Virtua Tennis 3. Something isn't right with this game

If you have Virtua Tennis 3 please compare the two from a graphical standpoint. Even Top Spin 3 has better graphics than Virtua Tennis 2009 and that also runs in 720p.

I am so disappointed with this, because I was looking forward to this...

i`m glad i rented this because i`m not even going to bother buying it, i agree with everything the above post said, plus if anyone had VT3 they would know there was a lot of lag issues? well it`s still there i hit a few smash shots only for it to hang and allow the other player to hit it

I've had a few games online and not expierenced any lag so far. I would say the graphics are slightly better than 3

Although i would have to agree that there is not much new over 3 and i might trade it in in a few weeks for the EA tennis game for the Wii.

I have bought it but it's sealed, so none of you like it? I might take it back, I had top spin 3 and had lag issues on it, does this suffer the same?

you have never seen the ball after you hit back to the other side just stops then the other player is able to hit it back, could just be because all my games online have been against europeans

Actually i take back what i said just had a few more games online and had bad lag in all three. Made it nearly impossible to have a fair game.

I actually quit elike this game have played a few games online and had no lag played some french dudes a yank and soemone else no lag at all for me and i actually think the graphics are better than the last one
