NBA Live 10 (UK Release: Late 2009)

Couldn't find a thread for this, sorry if there is one. I liked the DEMO, only played it once but found it to be a little 'too busy'!.

Re: NBA Live 10

I've been playing NBA 2K pretty much every year since it came out on the Dreamcast and have always thought it was a lot better than Live. I have to say I thought this demo is a MASSIVE improvement over last years. It's been a while since I played 2K9 and haven't seen much of 2K10, but I don't think this is quite the 2K beater. It's a lot closer than it ever has been mind.

What jumped out at me was the atmosphere and sounds. Love the grunting of the players, the sound of the ball off the rim, the crowd noise and reactions, etc.
It looks beautiful and the animations are WAY improved but still a bit off and the players still look too shiny sometimes.

Only played a couple of games but I really enjoyed it. Depending on the final game and what 2K10 brings, I might actually give it a whirl if I can get it cheap.

Re: NBA Live 10

Im a huge 2k fan, have always thought the Live series has been far inferior.

Didnt know the demo was out will download it and edit this post when I have given it a whirl

Well first impressions are that its much improved over last year by a distance but not a 2k beater yet.

Re: NBA Live 10

Not played an NBA game in years. Last one was a 2K version as I always thought it was a far superior game than the NBA live series.
Anyway, i've played a few games of the demo and have to say i really like it. I know very little about basketball but I did enjoy it enough to think about getting it. Will wait though to see what the average reviews are over 2K10

Certainly looks like EA are finally beginning to deliver top quality games as FIFA 09 was very good (FIFA 10 looks like it's going to be even better), NHL 09 was fantastic and now NBA Live. Don't know about NFL but it's also been getting decent reviews again.
