I've noticed that as well, particularly last night.

Seems to me like the community is already starting to fizzle out on this, quite a few games I played last night ended up being 95% bots.

Such a shame as when you get a proper game going on there it's great fun although perhaps that's part of the problem, it seems to be way too hard too get a good game going. Surely something as simple as lobbies would have fixed this where you can pick and choose which games you join.

The level cap will be raised to 24.

See below for the full lowdown:

New Maps
  • Founders’ Tower – The revolution finally reaches the island’s iconic spire and takes the battle for the Ark to dizzying heights.
  • Labs – Venture into the depths of the Ark’s original research and development laboratories, a submerged high-tech facility so far untouched by the civil war.
New Player Abilities
  • UAV – This stealthy and lethal device allows Operatives to automatically mark nearby enemies on their radar. For more explosive fun, they can even take direct control of the UAV and detonate it near unsuspecting foes.
  • Napalm Grenade – Soldiers can use this new grenade to cover an area in a sea of deadly flames.
  • Pyro Mine – Engineers can plant these mines and leave enemies in the epicenter of a massive napalm explosion.
  • Field Regen Unit – Medics can deploy these units to increase the health regeneration of any nearby teammates.
  • Tactical Scanner – This universal ability allows players to reveal the active buffs of their opponents, allowing them to pick off enemies more strategically.
New Weapon Attachments
  • Bayonets – Gain the edge in melee combat and cause extra damage with these deadly blades.
  • Weapon Shields – Take cover from enemy fire and prevent headshot bonus damage behind riot-style shields.
New Character Outfits
  • The Sad Punk – Add a touch of Steampunk to your Resistance character.
  • The Limey – Bring order to the Ark with this outfit inspired by traditional European police.
What’s more, the game’s stats site will go live for 360 and PS3 users next week (on Tuesday) and for PC players “very soon.” Expect in-depth stats, match data etc.
Don't think it will still be enough to save it.

I thought the community was still getting going, not fizzling out

After sending my rental back i'm still fancing playing this.

I'll get it either dead cheap, or rent again to try the new DLC

I fired up the Xbox for the first time in more than a week and barely anyone is playing Brink.

The "special edition" is now £24.99 in Game (and comes with bonus points) - I suspect it's finished.

Roll on BF3...

Cheers,

Teddy

Bit of a shame to hear that. Haven't played it in a while because my hand just seems to get drawn to BFBC2 every time I reach for a game!!

Im actually looking to rent this again.

I was trying to find out when the dlc is out? Anyone know, it just says June everywhere i look.

The Sp Ed of this only adds superficial things like tattoos so not bothered about it.

Im holding off buying even at a low price cos i thought this game may be a slow burner and actually be good when the bugs were fixed and people jump on.

It's probably this season's Homefront, in retrospect. I noticed it's £25 in Tesco but I bet it's £18 online soon, then £15 before BF3 comes out.

Saw it in Asda this morning for £22. I probably should have traded it while it was still worth something (like Homefront and Crysis 2 ... two other games that failed to light my fire).

I'm back (yet again) on BFBC2. Rather shockingly I've just noticed I've played for 250 hours now ... or 600 minutes for every £1 paid. Can't argue with that value for money.

I don't know if it's because the game is so great or the competition is so woeful.

Cheers,

Teddy

I would say it's that BFBC2 is so great In exactly the same boat, I have tried most of the new FPS games and always end up going back to BFBC2.

By far the best value I have had out of any game this gen.

Does anybody know what sort of trade-in value I would get for Brink??

Just rented this game from love film and I pretty much think it sucks at this point. I can't figure out how to play the single player?, it just seems like multiplayer maps with bots? is this right?.

Just finished the Security campaign and I must say Im as confused now as I was when I first played the game. I still dont understand the storyline. Maybe the accents I dunno but from one mission to the next I dont have a clue what we are doing there and why. I run around abit, shoot people, throw some ammo around and after 10 mins or so we either win or lose. Still cant work out what weapon it is that one shot kills me all the time.

I agree with the maps been 90% bot but what annoys me more is when Im the only player and yet I get lag. I only picked this up at Morrisons not more then 2-3 days ago and already Im thinking of trading/selling.

UPDATE: Completed the lot now, got a few challenges and the odd achievement to pick up. Once I hit rank 5 I can see me wrapping this puppy up and calling it aday.

UPDATE2: Right got this game worked out from start to finish now (well apart from the storyline) but Im deffo enjoying it alot more. Only problem is day after day Im the only player online :/ Might bump into the odd player now and again but nothing more then a map or 2.

UPDATE3: 1000/1000 Gonna call it aday. Smashing multiplayer game once you get into it let down by the fact there is nobody else playing it.

Got this back as a rental again, first game back i totally forgot all the keys! lol

Once i remembered got back into it, and got a game with No Bots!!!

Both side were all real people, and it was a quality game!

Anyone who liked it before, try again now, as its seams to be populated better.

Nice one, was liking the look of this but with all the issues I decided I'd wait on a price drop, might scout about for a decent price now

The few people that are playing this...

What's the best weapons to use?

I tend to stick with the Euston AR as main and Kross SMG as 2nd

They do me fine but sometime si get blow away by other guns?

What you all found to be the most powerful?

Def rental at least.

Only £17 at GAME to buy tho.

First thing I'll say is give it time, it's very confusing at first, there's different classes, and different objectives, and you'll have no extra abilities till you rank up.

It's had a few small updates, but there's a fairly big DLC coming soon ( dated as July) and its free adding a few new maps and other stuff.

Can you only DL from within the game or can you DL direct from the marketplace?

Well its not out yet so not sure, there is a link in game, but all it does is just pop up the marketplace link.

So id say the DLC can be got without the disc, but i'm guessing.

I'll do a cheeky search around the time the DLC is released and see

Will pick this up soon but since I can't properly commit time to it I'll wait a bit longer for more of a price drop and time to be available at my end

Hi mate, Brink is well worth a go. £16 at Game is a very good price. As oasismark said give it time and you will enjoy it. Single player and Online are fused together, which was abit strange at first.I'm getting pretty good at the Free Running now. Its abit like mirrors edge.

It's just the time constraints that's stopping me taking the plunge, just not got the time to play the xbox as much these days hoping that changes soon but can't see it to be honest! Will definitely ping out FRs when I do finally pick it up though
