Only played about 2 hours so far, just doing the side quests for the lighthouse and the lifeguard charachters.

Its ok so far, like a slightly different take on fallout/oblivion.

Im not sure I like the acheevo's though, certainly not going to unlock many before Gears 3 is out

Thats your leveling up XP bar.

Went wandering around the first map earlier and found my first orange weapon. Nothing special, just a cleaver. BUt i came across 2 places that had a portal and had no idea of how to get into them. They were like bunkers *

 

Not the ones on the beach either

just starting out and i can't find one of the people on a side quest, the lost - find maggie, i have looked all around the area, u would think it would give u a general area indicator like in fallout 3 or borderlands so u know where abouts to go, to show no indication at all is a bit strange.

sorry mate, tried 4 times to join your game but it wouldn't let me, started getting tired so i couldn't be bothered trying again and called it a night.

thought i had sent a message saying i was going to bed, i musn't have done it.

Fair enough. I should be on again tonight, maybe not quite as late, but we can have another go.

Maybe Ill have to join your game instead. I did set the coop options to private so maybe that was what was stopping you from joining??

I noticed them at the start as well. It was only after I completed a quest (think it was called Black Hawk Down) that I got access to one of the bunkers close to the beach, on the east of the map.

mine is set to public but im still not sure how it all works yet, i thought u could just join anothers game using your character, do u have to choose co-op instead of single player?

also i hear there is loads of bugs especialy re saving..... any probs? whats solo play like? i have it but not sure if to keep it?

I've not come across any saving bugs or any game breaking bugs TBH. Thats after sinking in about 15 hours.

while im enjoying the game, the save system needs to be addressed, i did a few side quests and after i saw the saved game come on screen i was going to quit out, i reloaded the last checkpoint to make sure everything was ok and it reset the side missions i just did.

Not had any bugs yet , only slight problem i had was in the intro video (party) little screen tearing.

Really enjoying this doing it solo first , played it for around 8 hours yesterday and just managed to get to the city part (church) being doing a lot of quests

I'm really enjoying it and can't understand why it has been reviewed so badly, sure it takes a while for the game to open up but once it does it becomes enjoyable.

I can't be the only one that was gutted when i stumbled upon my first bunker and realised you could not get in (think they unlock as quests are opened)

I like the varying levels of difficulty for quests too, some are easy xp and others you really have to work for it , started the game yesterday and upto level 15

Also for those that have ventured to the lighthouse it shows 2 portals at the site but i can only acess one which takes you to the top of the lighthouse, anyone know how to get to the other?

started playing it yesterday and didnt stop until 5 this morning! first moreish game I have had probably since half life! have to say though I was annoyed when playing co op with a mate online and some random idiot joined and started shooting us! Despite all the hours put in already i have not managed to find a single gun yet though my modded baseball bat seems to do the trick banging some sense into those zombies

simple answer is awesome mate! Have only done 2 player co op so far and it was an absolute hoot! with regards to replayability in my opnion this games got some serious legs! Unless you are chopping them off a zombie that is

Does the game get better the further you get along? Played about 3 hours of it and got bored after 30 mins melee'ing zombies.

Definatly get's better i reckon, the more you rank up the better weapons become available.. Apart from the revolver which is trash , got to the church and noticed the shop guy has an a decent gun.

Apparently there is a gun shop on the island which i've not found yet.

Going to do the lockpick unlocks next as i've found a few level 3 cases so bound to be something tasty hidden in them.

I'll let you know when i find the gun shop and the weapons available.
