IGN: Bubble Bobble Set to Pop On XBLA?

Apparently it's been rated by the German ratings board for XBLA so it may well be on its way soon. I certainly hope so as it is still one of my fondest gaming memories and one of the finest co-op games of all time imho.

Just realised it isn't a rumour and is included as part of an official announcement in dpb69's thread below. It's a remake and has 4 player co-op! Hopefully they've gotten rid of some of the buggy levels too. Happy Days.

Had been meaning to download Bubble Bobble Plus from WiiWare so happy I waited now, would much rather have it on XBLA so I can play it online. Although for some reason I have a bad feeling lag is going to plaque the online of this one, hope I'm wrong

Turtles in time has been put up, if there is going to be another XBLA today it will be later on most likely.

You can check Xbox Live's Major Nelson as he normally posts when a new game/demo has been added

yep it is! Bubble is good btw, just played 5 mins so far. 2 gamerpics unlocked as soon as i started the game!

What the hell, only thing that put me off the Wii version, never would have expected the same thing on the XBLA release, that's a huge dark cloud over my excitement for this one then

I have the full version and being 39yrs old and having grown up playing the original I was worried they would break it, but must say its pretty near perfect, the original is just jazzed up, and the new arranged version is excellent....

Grab it if you can as the whole thing is in English, not a jap letter anywhere

Plays perfect on my UK account, see my gamertag for a couple of achievements, not seen any online multiplayer yet, but tbh I haven't looked, to busy playing 4 players with the wife and kids
