Re: Invincible Tiger : The Legend of Han Tao

I hope the game lives up to that awesome trailer, the style pf it was great. Reminded me of Kung Fu Kaos (I wish that would come out)
I just hope it plays well and keeps my interest unlike most other games like this on the live arcade.

Re: Invincible Tiger : The Legend of Han Tao

Heres some news on MP modes..
Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao offers a variety of modes for both online and local play:

  • Team up with a partner and take on the Evil Overload’s diabolical army through Story Mode Co-op.
  • Carefully battle through each stage with increased difficulty and a shared Zen Meter.
  • Combat techniques learned through the single player game will serve players well as all-out brawls will leave stragglers in the dust.
  • Endurance Mode has players battling an endless stream of enemies under a specific time limit.
  • Post your scores online for bragging rights!
Gamespot have it down for a Sept release (US) .. hope that's incorrect meself

Release date is August according to Eurogamer, also those with a 3D TV (which will probably be none of you) will be able to play this in 3D

Re: Invincible Tiger : The Legend of Han Tao

Only just discovered this one myself, does look great, in an old school but still playable way

Apparently it's meant to be following on directly after the summer of arcade releases(of which there are two remaining) so should be out in a couple of weeks.

New hands on preview here Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao Hands-On Preview (Xbox 360)

Don't remeber ever seeing such a string of great games on XBLA, going through points like nobodys business lately and about to run out again

Totally agree about the strength of XBLA games, there was a massive dip for a while and I thought that the arcade games were gonna die a death but it's been good recently. Hope the standards stay up (and pray the prices stay down )

Still got my fingers crossed for a Road Rash of some sort to come out (with MIDI soundtrack in tow!)

Re: Invincible Tiger : The Legend of Han Tao

Just been playing the demo of this as it was released onto marketplace today.

I liked it, fun little game, only problem is the price, 1200 points

I suppose it was bound to happen now that people are shelling out in masses for the 1200 point big hitters, but this game isn't in the same league as Trials HD and Shadow Complex IMO(which could almost be budget retail releases), 800 points would have been the "unlock now" price for me, at 1200 I'll pass.

Will be interested to try the 3D modes out(of the demo again of course) when I lay my hands on some 3D glasses(where's my wifes Shrek 3D when I need it?!), nice to see the option there.

Re: Invincible Tiger : The Legend of Han Tao

ooo exciting news, cheers for the heads up. will deffo try demo out later, may purchase when comes down in price if what thee says is true

Thought you had to have a 3D TV for this to appreciate the 3D effect? or can you just wear the specs.. assuming you still saved em from rice krispies packet back in the 80s, which I didnt!

Re: Invincible Tiger : The Legend of Han Tao

I tried the demo this morning, as I hadn't realised it was coming out and it really is a bit of a laugh, I especially love the 70s styling and soundtrack, but like Tetlee says 1200 msp is too 400 pts much

Re: Invincible Tiger : The Legend of Han Tao

I think its great! I dug out my specs from journey to the center of the earth 3d and they work amazingly well, the 3d effect is better than any film ive watched with them and it feels a bit like playing one of them mad holograms you see at alton towers I admit playing it in 2d makes it look more like a generic kind of game but it really feels different and fun in 3d. I bought some points for shadow complex and trials but now ive got to decide which of them not to get so i can get this. But yes 800 points would have been better

That will be one tough choice, they're both outstanding as XBLA titles and there would have been no way I could have replaced either with this game personally.

Re: Invincible Tiger : The Legend of Han Tao

So does this work with 'normal' 3D glasses or do you only get the effect with a new 3D TV?

Re: Invincible Tiger : The Legend of Han Tao

It works with loads of normal ones: red/green, red/cyan, green/magenta, cant remember any others. The effect is best with a 3d tv and the expensive glasses but you can set in the options what type youre using. Im using red/green ones and it looks pretty cool to me
