Just seen that this is on its way, really pleased to hear it, I enjoyed the first back to basics Worms XBLA release so its great to see another expanded version on its way.

Looks like they've taken advantage of the increased size limit to include a lot of the things that people missed from the first release...

Looks really good. Definate purchase :D How much will it be? 800ms?

Any word on being able to switch the worm? That really bugged me on the first one, i always got the worm in the worst position!

I'd hope it's 800 points... but there's certainly been a trend recently to charge 1200 for the better games so I wouldn't be overly surprised if they do end up charging that. It would be a little annoying though as the original Worms Armegeddon was released 10 years ago!!! Bloody hell that makes me feel old!

What major differences will there be? As I'm tempted to pick up Worms off XBLA for 400 points but if the new one offers a lot more, I'll hold on.

Ooh, this is interesting news, sounds like a big return to form after the disappointment(for me at least) of Worms HD(looked great but way too stripped down!).

I would also hope, although I would hazzard a guess at "no chance!" has 1200 points written all over this one, as do pretty much all of the XBLA releases these days, hence why I generally no longer bother with them any more, prefer to spend that money on retail(still not paid over 800 points on an XBLA game yet).

If it does release at 800 points though, see you on the battlefield

If I were you I'd hold on and see what the price of the new one is and how it reviews.

The inital XBLA Worms is basically a stripped down Worms minus the more powerful weapons that turned up in the later additions. It's still got the classic Worms gameplay so for 400 points its a great little game, but it was released when there was a strict limit on the size of XBLA games so only has a couple of backgrounds, sound packs, etc compared to Worm Armageddon on the PC and hopefully the new release.

Thanks, I've played the demo a few times to kill 10 minutes here and there so that'll do until Armageddon, depending on the price. If it's more than 800, I'll buy worms on principle to show them I won't pay silly money for a game I can get for pennies on other formats. I loved the castle crashers demo and a few other quality titles on XBLA but there's no way I'm paying 1200 points when I've bought most of my AAA collection of retail games for £5-£20!

Was in touch with a developer/PR dude over Facebook, and he claims it'll be out in less than a month, couldn't tie him down any tighter than that

I know off topic but Mashed:Fully Loaded works on the 360(old xbox game)
Brilliant top down racer with weapons et al. Great with 4 friends around. Easy to pick up.

Well Worms2 has been priced & dated, releasing next week(July 1at) at 800 points

Fantastic news, apart from the fact we'll have only just moved so I won't be able to download for a week or so while we wait to be hooked back up to broadband

Never played any Worms game b4 but bought this after about 30secs of trying it. Really funny, loads of comedy moments and I seem to do more damage to myself than my opponent. Great game and all the customisable options are a nice touch - there seems plenty there without resorting to DLC..

theres about 35 campain mission ( and more from the shop if im right) but this is deffinatly worth getting love every min of this lmao

will recomend this to anyone with a love for "spineless" fun
