I read this somewhere too. Apparently if you've already bought either of them it's possible to redownload them somehow, but they've gone if you've not bought them. I've got SB2 and I'm keeping it on my HD to save any problems of redownloading it in the future.

You will find it listed on your download history.

I am not surprised at Double Dragon going missing as it was poor - but Speedball 2, the classic Amiga game. I did not play the XBLA version much (but have still as a demo) but obviously it did not sell well.

Speedball 2 rather suffered from coming out about the same time as SWOS. I bought it, but then hardly played the thing.

That's a shame, I was hoping that they would have Speedball 2 as one of the Deals of the Week

Re: Double Dragon and Speedball 2 removed from XBLA!

It makes no sense to remove them from marketplace. If they are not selling, as is the case with a lot of stuff on marketplace i imagine, why not just sell them at a reduced price, that's what would happen in a bricks and mortar store, why not in a virual store?

Anywho, i has Speedball 2 and its ace, i fire it up ever couple of months for a couple of games, ah the memories...

Re: Double Dragon and Speedball 2 removed from XBLA!

I have the Speedball 2 demo still on my hard disk, and it says it is free to unlock but then it fails

I think the real reason having read something somewhere (sorry can't remember) is that the license holder went into adminstration. Until all that is sorted, MS have taken it off.

This would suggest it was not poor sales.

You should still be able to download it again if you search through your download history for it. That's usually the case if you bought a game and it's subsequently removed from the store.

You can definitely re-download Speedball 2 if you've already bought it.

Sign into Xbox.com and go here: -

https://live.xbox.com:443/en-GB/Download/History

Look for Speedball 2 on the list and hit "Add to queue" and it'll download the next time you turn your console on, as long as that console is the default one for downloads.

Alternatively, you can do it through the console itself, but I think it's a bit easier to browse a lengthy download history on the web site.

To make money of future sales, make rehashes to release on the xbla, or maybe make a rubbish next gen version which will be awful?
