Fantastic, this was one game I was seriously considering breaking my pledge not to buy 1200 point games.

800pts is a day of release must buy.

I used to have Turtles in Time for the SNES and it was great fun.

Now all we need is Turtles Tournament fighters as this was an excellent game too

I guess it all depends if you used to own and like the game for the SNES. That is its main appeal.

Playing it as soon as the game started I was blown away by the improved graphics. And the gameplay is still nice and fun.

i would say if you liked it for the SNES its a definite purchase for 800 points, if not give the trial a once over it deserves that at the least.

Good to see they have kept the SNES gameplay

I paid £60 for this back in the day (when £60 was a lot of money) and to think people are moaning about a small MW2 price increase, we've really got it easy in today's gaming climate

You bought if for the 360 inzaman?

I have and found it pretty nice nostalgia.

I can see why others may not like it, but I was raised on Target Renegade, Final Fight, Batman Returns, Battletoads and Battlemaniacs, Double Dragon and all the likes so still like this.

I would go as far to say Target Renegade is a contender for the greatest game ever made and this is a very basic fighting game.

I had part downloaded it last night so not actually played it yet. I am hoping to complete the download tonight and have a game. I loved it back in the day and as i say it was £60 as i imported it from the US along with SFII

I think today people expect a game to use every button on the pad along with analogues, countless combinations of weapons etc and i can see the appeal in that (i enjoy it myself) but you just cant beat nostalgia, and the urge to button bash now and again

Just a quick

I remember Batman Returns, Double Dragon, and Battletoads. I actually completed Double Dragon on my old xbox which has mame and didnt realise how short it was, man it seemed so long back in the day on the arcade when it was eating my 10ps

are the other games the same era and did you play them on the arcade or SNES? My arcade days were more Outrun, Afterburner, Golden Axe, Roadblasters etc

I am trying now to think of other games like it.

I never used to play much at the arcade, my pocket money back in those days was sparse.

But games wise I started out with the Sinclair Spectrum 128k, then moved up to the SNES, then Amiga 1200, then got the PSone.

The Spectrum and SNES had the most of these games as they were all either knock offs of Renegade or later on knock offs of Final Fight.

To be honest trying to think of more my mind has gone a total blank, I can remember a game called Shadow Warriors for the Spectrum that I used to love, but have a feeling it wont have held up the test of time like Renegade did.

And also one where you have a wolf with you and you could set your wold onto them.

Playing on the arcade the games I can remember the three games I used to play most were Turtles Arcade as it was at my local Warners Cinema - we'd go to the cinema watch a film, then go to the arcade they had there.

I can also remember ofted playing Operation Wolf with the Machine Gun attachment, and a game called Cadillacs and Dinosaurs - which was a 2 player shooting version of Renegade.

This is pretty good for a game I accidently purchased when attempting to download the Trial Version this morning. I blame a lack of concentration.

Mind you, I did get the previous Turtles game and enjoyed that, so...

The graphics in it are amazing in my opinion they are quite similar to the graphical style to the Turtles movie that came out a couple of years back.

Getting this and R-Type in the same week for 800points, and tonight WaW map pack 3 for 800pts too really has been a great week for live.

I loved Target Renegade!

I saw Shadow Warriors originally in the arcades and loved it at the time. Bought it on the speccie (and perhaps the Amiga??) Wall flipping off the wall, and performing a throw. Probably not that "wow" nowadays but at the time I'd never seen it before

Had a few games of this last night and i am finding it good fun, just as i remember from back in the day, except enhanced graphics. I still have the original SNES cart and box etc

(well i am sure i do as i dont remember binning it as i still have the SNES).

Spent a fortune on this back in the day on coin-op, bought the last turtles game on marketplace but the demo left me underwhelmed.

Is it worth buying ?

That's a good question, i played this a lot on the SNES and it seemed a lot longer back in the day, anyway for me personally it is very worthwhile and i am really enjoying playing it, mainly for nostalgia but also for controller simplicity - it's just nice to have two or three buttons to press and that's it.

I rate this game highly too, its just fun and its the Turtles! its great in coop :D
