Deleting Xbox 360 profile: what happens to XBLA content?

If I purchase a XBLA game and then delete the profile I used to purchase the game, I take it I can still use the game as normal with other profiles, yes?

As far as I am aware any games purchased on XBL are unique to the gamertag which purchased said game.

Deleting the profile would then also disable the use of the game on any other profile you create, I could be wrong.

If you delete the profile the only thing that will change is that, suprise you won't have that profile anymore.

Any content or XBLA ( exc some community games ) will still work on ANY gametag provided it is on the console you bought it on.

Ah that's good to know when I put my Hard Drive on my other console in the lounge.

Re: Deleting Xbox 360 profile: what happens to XBLA content?

Hi All,

I have a simliar sort of question,

begining of the year got an elite, recovered my gamertag and downloaded sonic 1 again, all working fine.

elite then RROD'd sent it off for repair, they repaired it (not exchanged).

Now when I try play it is says it isn't unlocked (ie paid for) yet when I try and download it again, it has the tick next to it to say I have purchased it??

Hope this makes sense!!

You will need to either use the DRM tool on Xbox.com to move the license over as your Elite will have new innards from the repair or you can go to your download history and re-download it and everything else.

If your repaired console has a different serial number from before it was repaired you will need to transfer the licences then re-download the games.
