Don't see why not, AFAIK most XBLA are region free.

Either way you could always redeem it on a US gamertag and then download it there and it will work on all your tags so you could switch to your UK tag.

I believe the only one that is region locked are the new 12+1 Months. The old 12+1 used to be region free but the new 12+1 are locked to the USA.

I thought that US codes worked on a UK Xbox if you had a US account, that connected you to the US Marketplace?

I don't think so, i have a US and UK tag but i have to log-on to both seperately when i want whichevers content but all my downloaded content works on all my tags

Best thing you can do is to try the code on the tag that you want ( Say a UK tag ) and if not do it on a US tag and swap back to your UK tag and you will find if it is a XBLA game it will be playable with achievements etc

Re: Do US XBLA codes work on non-US Xboxes?

Ok i may have not read your first post correctly or you could of explained more.

When you said do XBLA codes work do you mean xbox live subscriptions or xbox points cards?

Just to clear up:
• Xbox Live Subs are region free 1,3 and 12 months (except the new 12+1)
• Xbox Points Cards are region locked to the Gamertag; Europe and USA.

But like Jamie said most content can be shared across gamertags so if you cant redeem it on your UK gametag try, create a USA gamertag and redeem it there.

Actually, my main interest is in purchasing US XBLA game codes - Amazon US occasionally has XBLA games codes at discounted prices.

Can you even use a UK credit card on the US amazon? i would assume they would force you to use a USA one?

I've used my Australian credit card to purchase from the US Amazon many times. Never had a problem You should have no problems purchasing with a UK credit card.

Re: Do US XBLA codes work on non-US Xboxes?

I just tried to buy one from the Amazon US marketplace and got this:

We are sorry...

We could not process your order because of geographical restrictions on the product which you were attempting to purchase. Please refer to the terms of use for this product to determine the geographical restrictions.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

I did put in a US address, so not sure how that worked, maybe on IP. I might try a proxy later and see if that works.

Sorry to hear that.

I take it you're from the UK? Can you still buy books, DVDs, CDs, from Amazon US? The UK has its own version of Amazon, which may be a factor I suppose. (There isn't an Australian amazon.com.) Actually, Amazon UK won't ship Xbox games to Australia, either.

Yes, I have bought many things from Amazon US. Books are very often cheaper via Amazon US and shipping to the UK rather than buying them from Amazon UK.
