Can't play Streets of Rage 2 anymore

Last night I wanted a blast on Streets of Rage 2 with a mate on live. I went into quick launch and then game library but couldn't find it in either so I went to marketplace and re downloaded the game but when I play it, it still says unlock the full game to play mutliplayer etc.

I don't think Ive played it since buying a new console but I used the transfer cable to transfer everything across from old HD to the new one. I know there is problems playing arcade games on a new machine when not connected to live but I was connected and the game wasn't even on my HD. When I try and play MP it says I have to unlock the full game to play but even if I press x to unlock, the marketplace window pops up and it says "play now" and "download again".

I have tried re downloading, signing out of live, turning off my xbox and even recovering my gamertag but I still cant play Streets of Rage.

Any ideas as to whats wrong?

Sounds a bit weird, as long as you are signed into live any reloaded game should work. You are definately using the same gamer tag that it was originally downloaded on aren't you?

I've got the same problems, not sure if it's cos I had to change my console with MS but it's ****ed the game for me now which is a royal pain in the arse.

Has anyone had any solution to this problem? Do we need to maybe contact MS and get them to pair our HDD up with our consoles again?

Have you tried using the DRM tool thingy on the Xbox site that lets you reassign games to a console?

You need to use the DRM tool. Simply transferring the data using the transfer cable or putting your hard drive on another console wont work.

Your need to transfer the license to your new/replaced console. You can do it online here:

You can only do this once or twice a year.

It's once every twelve months, which is utter tripe to be quite frank. I've got a nine month wait to sort out my licence situation.
