DRIVERS & Softwear For XP on LAPTOP

I have had Parkinson’s for the last few years its slowly getting worse I use my computer for the only entertainment I have.
My dear relations and friends local to my home in the UK clubbed together and bought me a Sony FW series with blue-ray and all the mod cons. This is were the problem I have started, it came with Vista loaded, now as nearly all my personal programs are XP I have lost the use of a computer.
Whilst I am over the moon with the laptop and its features I have this problem of
Not being able to use most of my programs, which are not made to accept Vista.
What I want to do is get the machine converted to XP.
I have a friend who will carry out the work for me but I need help to acquire Drivers & Soft wear for the conversion, I have tried to get in touch with Sony but can find no contact to ask them if they could supply the necessary soft wear, which I’m sure they would if I can make contact with them.
I am asking for help from someone who might have the knowledge as to how and where I can purchase the drivers & soft wear I need . I have purchased a new XP
Professional that was fairly easy

Think your out of luck.

Most XP era apps will work with Vista fine, have you actually tried them as even a lot of apps that don't specifically say they support vista will work fine. any that won't work can usually be made to work by running the compatibility Wizard and selecting XP SP2
