windows xp sp3,over a year ago i installed ad-aware 2007,few months later looking in control panel i saw 2 ad-aware progs one with 19.31mb one with 27.75mb.i tried to uninstall and came up with error 2738,so i did it manually in program files and in the registry,still in control panel and same error when i try to uninstall.went into services.msc and saw "disabled" next to ad-aware.any ideas

on problomatic unistalls i use revo unistaller give it a go

that uninstaller did not work.

when you use the program it tries to use the windows unistaller if that fails then the program will cary on and remove the registry entries and any program files or windows files left over asociated with that product you just have to keep clicking next .then after a restart hopefully all should be ok

used revo again highlighted advanved but still get the same error message 2738.the only place ad-aware is located is control panel.

try instaling the same program and then unistaling and see if that works
