Question How to put Vista on DVD (Student offer)

Purchased the Ultimate Steal Vista 64bit tonight and still downloading. I'm just wondering how to put these files on dvd so i can do the install?

Comes in 3 files;
1 *****.exe (88mb)
2 Install.Wim (3.3gb)
3 Boot.Wim (144mb)

Is it just put them on the disc and boot from dvd?

Thanks

Re: How to put Vista on DVD (Student offer)

Did they not give you an option to download the ISO version? Install.wim contains all the images and indexes for Vista. What is the other .exe? Seeing the filename would help.

You can use ISO making software and convert your files into an ISO image, just do a google search for the software. There should be some free versions out there and it normally has easy instructions to follow.

Re: How to put Vista on DVD (Student offer)

Vista fits onto a single layer dvd so any dvd disk should do. I would reccomend burning it at a slow speed though such as 2x or 4x to minimise the risk of there being any errors when installing. These would work fine: Play.com (UK) : Maxell DVD-R 16X 50pk Spindle : Computing - Free Delivery
Once you have converted the files, just use a burning software such as nero to burn the iso to the disk. You say you have a rewritable one, that should work fine.
