I also thought about cutting holes in the top lid, but on the silver case (i dunno about the black one) there is another metal plate in between. i would have to punch holes in there too and align the two holes. Any easy way to do that
Regarding the DVI port; on the silver case (in US) the DVI port is through an ADD2 card, it's not on the chassis. and it works automatically. Even onboard DVI port should be automatically detected (meaning both VGA and DVI should be live all the time). Are you having the black case? |
Oh yes, I forgot about the big thick brace that runs from front to back. I'm wondering about putting a grid of holes in the lid, aligned with a rectangle cut from the brace. I might just take a chance on using the drill, after taping over any seams that could trap the bits.
Yes, mine's the GT one in the black case. It has onboard DVI, and I can't get it to do anything. I know the monitor and cable are fine, as I use DVI with the graphics card I'm currently using. I'm trying to use the onboard to save power (and heat!). Anyone please tell me how to get this thing to work.
But I'm sure my TV cards are suffering from heatstroke. They are both getting very hot, in fact it's been playing up recently and I'm currently running it without the lid and brace to check whether heat is the cause.
