Vista PC as A2DP Bluetooth receiver?

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum but it could conceivably end up in one of about five.

My question:

I've just updated my iPhone to 3.0 and opened up the world of A2DP (works great on my new Pioneer headunit). I was wondering if it was possible to send A2DP audio from the iPhone to my vista HTPC equiped with a Belkin F8T003 bluetooth dongle. Essentially I want to use the PC as a A2DP receiver to save myself £30. I've tried to pair the iphone with the PC and just got a "device cannot be installed" error.

I assume that the dongle would have to be set up as a recording device in Vista and would then pass the audio through to my amp. There may be a problem with the Vista bluetooth stack not supporting A2DP but any tutorials I've found to replace the stack seem to be written to solve the reverse problem, getting the pc audio sent out via A2DP to speakers/receivers.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Vista PC as A2DP Bluetooth receiver?

Thanks for the pointer. i've done a little googling and found this guide:

Using Desktop as A2DP Receiver - A2DP, Bluetooth Stereo Headsets, Bluetooth Headphones, Wireless devices, Gadgets Review, Nokia Headsets, Plantronics, Motorola, Jabra, Sony, iTech

I'll give it a go tonight.
