Vista Firwewall Wanted
Is there any compatible Vista firewalls which work well with vista and arent resource hungry?
I have tried Trend Micro security suite but it messed up after a windows update, shame as it seemed very good up to that point.
Help appreciated.

Re: Vista Firwewall Wanted
Hi Wonka,
Not really it has let a few things through with out asking which isnt ideal. Been using it for a few months now and wasn't concerned as I am also behind a router untill I noticed stuff was getting through.
Also did a read around and its not got a good rep. Dont know if this is from other companies slagging it off to boost their sales or the truth. Just wondering if anyone had any good recommendation's.

Re: Vista Firwewall Wanted
Vistas firewall is alot better than XPs one. For start it's bi-directional - it monitors incoming and outgoing traffic. But where it fails is that it doesn't ask permission for out going traffic. You have to create an advance rule for each and every type of traffic.
Which is a bloody pain in the ass.
So to add extra functionality I use Vista Firewall Control. It sits ontop of Windows Vista Firewall (so don't disable it) and it displays prompts for incoming and outgoing traffic.

I've been using OneCare (integration is amazing) for 3 months now. 9/10 from me.
