Stuff suddenly vanished from start menu?

In my start menu->all programs stuff seems to have just vanished, I now just have the folders in view and the default stuff that was there before is missing ie media center etc. Ive searched the whole c: for the install of media center but cant find it, its really bugging me as it happened after I connected the xbox360 to the pc to run media center, the xbox still finds media center and uses it but for the life of me I cant find it on the pc at all as it seems to have vanished of the start menu.

according to my pc the location of the file is %SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe


which is c:\.....windows\ehome\ehshell.exe

don't know why it isn't called media center though

thanks for that, i can at least use media center now.

still the problem remains though as to where the stuff in the start menu has gone, it seems the default MS stuff is missing - defender etc

minor niggle i know but these things annoy me somewhat
