I bought a new Dell E520 PC a couple of months ago and it came with Vista Premium pre-installed.
Everything is great except I cannot get my Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 to work. I thought maybe I would leave it a while and wait for better drivers, but even now using the latest version (QuickCam v10.5.1 32-bit Version: 10.5.1 build 2029) it still won't work.
It goes through all the installation process, but once it gets to the part where it asks to plug in the cam it just stops doing anything. If I choose to skip that stage and try later it says it can't find any drivers - even if I browse to the Logitech foder
I know there seems to be problems with webcams in Vista, but according to Logitech it should now work.
What I have noticed is that once I install the software I loose my sound, so there could be a conflict with the onboard sound. I did disable this just in case, but it didn't make any difference.
Any advice much appreciated.
