Terratec Aureon 5.1 Fun with Vista PLEASE HELP!

I have the above soundcard.

it worked perfect with xp outputting SPDIF Digital optical to my home cinema.

Since i installed vista and installed the beta driver for the card it has stopped working properly.

I still get standard audio ok through the 3.5 phono output, but the optical wont work.

It shows it in the settings, but i cant get into the terratec control panel to activate it.

can anyone help, its driving me insane!

Looks like the same issue as with the Creative Audigy, Vista completely rewrote the rules surrounding sound and basically the sound card manufacters are still catching up although Vista has been 6 years in development, I would totally blame the soundcard manufacters.
