Vista - attachment viewing problems

Just had a new computer with Vista and am now struggling to open and print email attachments as instantly as before...

Our attachments are usually large drawings (can be upto 7Mb) and are usually tiff file format.

Before they opened up pretty quickly through Windows Picture and Fax Viewer but now they are trying to open with Windows Photo ...

I have been to Control Panel and Default programs but the list doesn't include what I'm looking for - any ideas

I tried downloading a free tiff viewer but on running it, it keeps shutting down my computer

Also, can anyone tell me where to delete programs (old icon of Add/Remove programs doesn't seem to exist) ?

Its still there in Control Panel, but its now called "Programs and Features"
