Vista SP2 update - repeated 800B0100 error

Several months ago I tried to first install Vista SP2 when it came out. The update hanged after about 20minutes of downloading and I had to reboot. Now whenever I try to download and install the SP2 upgrade it fails with the error code 800B0100. I have tried many times but the same error happens. I've tried downloading the file as a standalone upgrade and using the online Windows update program. I'm also now experiencing a few other updates failing (presumably because some updates need SP2 installed).

I only installed Vista on my laptop a month or two before SP2 came out and had installed all the previous updates Vista found. SP1 is on and correctly installed. Does anyone have any tips as to what I can try to fix the problem?

The error seems to be due to some missing .mum files - see the CheckSUR log below. How can I replace these missing files?
