Smile Vista Media Center - Newbie needs help, 1.7GB for 30 min show

Hi guys,

I am new to the MCE scene - I have recorded about 30 shows but they are using up 80GB of HD space, which I think its too much.

I have a barebone MCE Vista setup thats working, no tools or anything. Is there any encoder that I have to switch to so shows become 500MB in size instead of 1.7GB (what's currently taking for a 30 min show).

Any other tools/tips I should know?

Thanks

I have herd that MCEBuddy is pretty good it will automatically resize/re-encode your recordings to make them smaller. I think it should work with Vista too!
