pc building literature

I've recently bought a media centre pc, and have been pretty impressed with it. although its mainly used for work etc. in the bedroom, i have found the media center aspect really good..

to that end, i have decided to build a second dedicated HTPC for my main living room, but i've never built a pc before! its a pet project ive been wanting to do for a while but never had the time (nor the knowledge for that matter...!)

so does anyone know of any decent guides/books/tutorials on how to build a pc? like i said ive never done antyhing like this before, so i'm a real lehman when it comes to the hardware side of things.. anything which will get me from start to finnish would help imensely!

Custom PC Magazine would be a good idea to get.

Also this web site is really helpful.

My personal recommendation - read all the instructions that come with the bits especially the case instructions and the motherboard instructions.

Also check out silentpcreview.com and do a google you'll get quite a few useful articles up.

if youve got any component questions just post them on here in the hardware section and Im sure youll get loads of replies.
