Sweetspot MCE TV card and M-audio 2496 conflict
Hi all,
I've noticed a problem with these two components in my System. I installed the m-audio soundcard about a week ago. Before i did, MCE was working fine. I have been listening to music all week and apart from the volume control issue with the 2496 the sound quality is exellent. However, i tried watching TV for the first time last night and KABOOM - nothing. The old "You have no TV signal, check your connection etc etc." I re-scanned for channels (0 found) and reinstalled UR2 and DotNet Framework, and the Sweetspot Drivers. I re-scanned for channels (0 found) Again nothing. Gave up and uninstalled the M-audio. Rescanned channels (65 found) TV is now working fine. pah. Only thing i could think of was i set the 2496 to output 48k (which was what i thought MCE converts all sound to via the kmixer to this anyway??? am i way off with this??? would it convert via MCE and output at this rate only to be resampled back to 44k my the 2496??) Although music playback was fine at this setting it maybe it makes a difference as far as the TV is concerned. I guess i could reinstall and see if 44k output interferes with the tv operation. I know it sounds sound related but im not sure if there are conflicts between the way the two card use the sound. Anyone else running these two card together succesfully? My specs are - amd athlon 2700+ 1 gb 2700 ram Asus A7N8X motherboard (i disabled the 5.1 on board audio in the bios) Sweetspot mce tv card ATI radeon 9700 pro Wireless PCI network card thanks Peter |
