WinDVD7 Decoder = Black Border on first play

Hi

Just been playing around with WinDVD7 decoder in MCE (on a number of PC's) and I've found a very strange thing ...

When initially starting MCE (via green button), the first play of a 16:9 DVD (either from DVD or hard disc) results in a display with a thick black border around the picture ( http://fp.mhalton.f9.co.uk/windvd.htm ). If you press stop and then play again, the black border disappears and subsequent plays of 16:9 DVDs work fine.

MCE zoom is set to 1 for DVD which resolves the AR fine for all material, except this first play wierdness.

Anyone else seen this?

I seen a similar thing with winDVD6 when I used that as my mpeg decoder - it would ramdomly change content from 4:3 to 16:9 and back only by changing the channel.

It had a few other bugs as well, such as poor pause/rwnd/ffd performance, so was promptly dumped.

D.

I'm having a similar problem with mine
I've used both the Nvidia decoder and Nvidia PureVideo and my DVD's start in 4:3
If I then press stop and then go to the title menu it then plays properly in 16:9
