128MB or 256MB Graphics?

Hello all.

I've been trudging through the forum, but can't find the answer to this - what difference does a 128MB or 256MB graphics card make to a MCE PC? I don't understand!

I'm MCEing a Dell Optiplex GX280 SFF, so I need half-height PCIe. This is what I was going to buy, but it's "only" 128MB...

Will it be in black and white with such a pitiful amount of memory?

I can't find a half-height 256MB 6600 card without a fan, but I was wondering whether it would make any difference? It's gonna be a telly only, not a games machine.

I was after a 6600, as it supports more of the PureVideo functions. Also, I'm using a 1680 x 1050 display via DVI, so it'll need a fair bit of grunt.

The last time I bought a graphics card, 4MB was luxury. ee by gum.

Thanks to you all.

256mb is only required for gaming mate 128mb is what most people use in MCE.
