6600GT silent graphics card...which one!?

Just so I know, Im about to buy, install and ponder over the output of a much talked about 6600GT silent pipe graphics card.....

Checking www.scan.co.uk there's a whole load of graphics cards matching 6600. Are they just re-badged cards using the same chipsets such as the Aopen one for exapmle?

I want the following;
PCIe16, DVI, component or RGB and VGA out. If its no different to my on-board i915 graphics then its going cheap on fleabay in a weeks time! Problem being I might also have to replace my LC11 case with an LC14 and buy a Elan PSU But hey, it might one day be as good as I'd hoped!

Is this the puppy? http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=164948

Is XFX just a card manufacturer using NVidia's 6600 chipset?

But that is not the 6600GT, it's clocked lower isn't it? Not that it matters much for HTPC I suppose...Does it also come with the component dongle, license for PowerDVD, etc...

Is XFX just a card manufacturer using NVidia's 6600 chipset?
Because the Gigabyte on has a heatsink on both sides of teh board connected by a heatpipe. Because of the clearance (or lack of) between the back of the graphics card and the 'lid' it won't fit. The XFX uses a different heatsink that covers most of the one side of the card and not the back.

Is doesn't come with the component dongle. You may find a friendly supplier with some spare dongles around that can from other cards but weren't required by the user.
It does come with PowerDVD, but wouldn't you want to get a copy of the nVidia codec for use with this card.

Yes and no, seems it supported composite and S Video only. Didn't support component in the driver options either. No worries because Im using DVI/HDMI now.
