Media centre crashes

Hi all

I have a problem with MCE 2005 that it keeps locking up normally about 2 or 3 minutes in to starting it up. It can happen at any time either navigating the menu, listening to music or videos then the screen just turns to blocks of colours.
I have the latest catalyst drivers for my x800 pro and everything is set up correctly to my limited knowledge.
Can anyone offer any advice?
