Guide data problem

I've just taken delivery of a Dell 5100 and I've done a new install of MCE. The USB DVB-T box (Avermedia) is detected and and it finds 61 channels when I run the setup.

The problem is that there is almost no guide data whatsoever.

There are one or two entries for the more obscure channels (ABC for instance) but nothing for BBC, ITV & Channel 4 etc.

I'm running Roll Up 2 (which everyone else seems to know about apart from me ) and I just wonder if the Radio stations are confusing the system?

So, do all you other Roll Up 2 users have any program guide data problems?

Thanks

Dave

Thanks.

I dont know whats wrong with mine. I gave up and did a fresh install and did the MC setup without any updates. It ran through the setup fine and said it was getting the listings but when it was complete there was still no guide data!

I'm using an Avermedia AVerTV DVB-T USB 2.0 if that makes any difference.

I've done a search but found nothing similar to my problem

Dave, It sounds very much like the rename/re-order of channels you need to do sometimes, once it's all set up. There is already a thread somewhere on here where I had the same problem. I think it was Lisa pointed me in the right direction. I'm niether in front of my HTPC nor in sufficient charge of my memory to give a blo by blo at the mo tho.

Cheers,
Jon.

Hi, I am not at my HTPC either, but from memory it is something like Settings - TV - Guide - Add listings to channels. I have the Avermedia DVB-T USB2 card also, but not installed roll up 2 yet.

thanks, I'll give that a try.

I don't know if it's related but one of the channels that I did have data for was ABC1 and so I scheduled a recording of Moonlighting. When I came to play it back this morning it said invalid file format.
