Ahh, could this explain why quite a few of my DVDs (including all the ones I've made myself using nerovision express) appear as a smeared / pixelated mess under MCE yet play fine using Theatertek/VLC/iDVD/Stand alone DVD player?
MCE is using the NVIDIA DVD decoder that came with Theatertek (which I bought long before I installed MCE).

anyone tried them with a powerstripped vga-scart rgb lead setup ??? think the 5.8 drivers caused all sorts of problems (never got round to upgrading myself ! ).?

I am doing exactly this , i did also manage to get it working on 5.8 as well. The picture quality in 5.9 is also a tad better as well and works fine for me, be careful of the WDM driver though if you are using a ATI 550 Pro card

Sounds interesting... How did you make the SCART lead and what are your powerstrip settings?

Just installed them too. Only thing I found is I had to re-create the custom resolution for Powerstrip as it must have been removed when I uninstalled 5.8
Other than that no problems.

I tried this new release with my ATI 9200SE and I have had to un-install it. It caused BSOD twice. The actual screen was unreadable with the RHS appearing on the left and the white text was distorted beyond readable.
The first time it crashed I had the new hardware found wizard start when I re-booted. It found the 9200SE again!

Yup, I had to uninstall as well. My screen broke up into pink, green and white blocks when I was watching live tv. It also crashed a few times with an ATI app being listed as the cause in Event Viewer.
Back on 5.8 and all is well
