Media Center IR Reciever

I am tempted by the MCE Keyboard, but don't have an IR receiver as I purchased the OEM version and don't have a remote.

Is there anywhere I can buy the receiver seperately?

there is one place you can buy it alone.,.....gigtek I think

however - I still find myself using both the keyboard and the remote (whichevers more convenient)....!
you may consider getting both...? (might be just me though)

Yeah - I might get the remote. I have been using the RemoteWonder which I am more than happy with, but I have found the MCE remote with reciever for £22, which is cheap enough to experiment with to be honest.

Can someone tell me - are there customisable buttons on the remote? If so what options do I have, e.g. send keystrokes, run programs, etc.

No cutomisable buttons on the remote apart from TV power, and volume +/-

I'm sort of tempted to replace my BTC9116 with one of these. I saw they were doing a bundle deal with keyboard, remote and receiver at www.mediapc.tv yesterday, but it look like they've bu66ered off on their holidays for a bit

Hmmmm..... lack of customisable buttons is a bit off putting - how about the keyboard - any on there?

I think it's the same for the keyboard.
The alternative is to teach a learnable remote your MCE remote codes. I've got a Kameleon remote I've taught the MCE remote codes - it's ok but not great. Thinking about a Logitec Hamrony 855
