Media Centre Extenders.

An old question I guess - anyone know when proper media center extenders will be available in the UK?

I don't want and xbox solution (too big and far too noisy), but a proper wireless extender in the vein of the DLINK DSM-320 (but MCE of coure)

Probably never as they werent designed to run in the UK all MCE is designed for the USA as thats obviously the biggest market you want my advice get a USA extender off ebay if an xbox is too loud for you or simply wait for the xbox 360 which I think is about as official as the UK extenders are going to get.

X360 uses a 2.5" disk (same as most laptops) unlike the normal Xbox which has a 3.5" disk (same as your pc). Laptop disks are far quieter than desktop units and so I would expect the X360 to be a lot quieter.
