Problem accessing MY Music via upgraded XBOX with MCE extender pack

Got the Xbox talking to the Media centre. I can access live and recorded TV etc but when I try to access MY Music, the thing hangs. I have approx 306 albums on my Media Centre and I am using a hard wired cat5 solution.

I've heard it said that you will have loads of problems with other apps on the MCE Xbox package.

I plan to use XBMC and MCE for Xbox both running from the xbox hard drive - can't vouch for its success as I haven't tried it yet but I've heard good results. Check out:

Are you sure that it is hanging? I never use My Music but ISTR seeing postings from people who complained about the length of time that MCX takes to scan in all the files in My Music (like many, many minutes).

When you go into the music folder to add music it says presss ok or somthing like that leave it alone for a while then it should be fine I have mine working perfect for my music on MCE extender and XBMC and I am on WIFI so I am sure your hard wired connection is not the issue.
